STATUS

    As of today (jun 2002), e2compress on kernel 2.4.17 has been tested on i386 architecture, and used  by tens of people  for some months.
     It should work on other architecture, but has NOT been tested.

    Please, note the following :

• No performance tests have been done.
• The code is not optimized.

• Sometimes when working with file containing holes, holes can be not cleared (the data read are different of zero).
